Titanium Handled Kitchen Knife.
The pinnacle of our product line is our new Titanium handle knife. The handle is machined out of a bar of plate grade pure Titanium. The blades are made from mirror polished, premium CPM154 or 154CM Stainless Steel, the same as used on our signature Volcano line of knives, only the handles have changed. These handles start as a billet, a solid piece of metal that is carefully carved on our CNC mill. Our handles are designed to fit your hand with extreme comfort and the topographical ridges on the surface of the handle ensure a secure hold even in wet and slippery conditions. The titanium handles are stronger than most steels, 45% lighter, and have an extraordinarily different feel due to the density of the metal.
Unlike most kitchen knives that have metal handles, ours are not hollow, thus they don't feel light and flimsy. SABA-T chef's knives are 5 ounces heavier than our Volcano knife of equal design. The milling process to build each handle is extremely costly, we start with a bar of Titanium that averages over $40 per pound in it's raw form, then it takes almost 3 hours of machine time to produce just one. This is why a Titanium kitchen knife is so rare, unique and expensive. These are very special knives and a treasure that will last for ever. They are absolutely beautiful and proudly made in Virginia. They all carry "Made in the USA" on each blade and are numbered to provide their own identity. If you are looking for a razor sharp kitchen knife unlike any other, consider a SABA-TITANIUM. As is the case for any good chef's knife, we highly recommend that you do not put these knives in the dishwasher.
